Allphones Arena Shaping Up For Its Biggest Year Yet

After an incredibly successful 2012, which saw stellar shows from the likes of J-LoPrinceThe WigglesThe Beach BoysLady Gaga and Taylor Swift among many others, 2013 is shaping up to be an even bigger year at Allphones Arena with some remarkable shows already in the bag, a myriad of truly world class acts lined up to take the stage and some soon to be announced phenomenal surprises at Australia’s premier concert venue.

Starting the year off with a bang was music icon and noted Diva, Ms. Mariah Carey. It had been over 10 years since Mariah’s last visit to our shores and it was well worth the wait for the sell-out crowd who sang along en masse to a soundtrack of greatest hits from the songbird’s illustrious career.

Next up multi-Grammy and three-time ARIA Award winner, and recently anointed American Idol Judge, Aussie country music superstar Keith Urban who took to the stage over two massive nights delighting fans and leaving his female followers in particular positively swooning. Keith’s Voice cohorts, The Madden Brothers, also joined him at the Arena strengthening their position as honorary sons of our fair nation.

Celtic Thunder also made a welcome return Down Under again mesmerising audiences on a journey through the varying styles of Celtic music, from classic love songs to traditional and contemporary Irish songs.

Set to join us next is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated bands to visit our shores this year, BLINK 182,  who make their first trip to Australia in over 10 years and Allphones Arena is the place to be to see the punk trio’s first performance down under.

March, or MAMMOTH MARCH as we’ve dubbed it, sees a comic master-mind, an unparalleled line-up of hardcore’s finest and an almost unbelievable bunch of undisputed rock legends, tearing up Allphones Arena and we can’t wait!

Masters of Hardcore kicks off the month with a prime artist selection, an eye-blinding production, a full grade MOH entertainment show set to blow revellers minds! Next up, The MONSTER TOUR rolls into town with rock’n’roll royalty KISS and Mötley Crüe, on the same stage, on the same night at Allphones Arena! We then back that up just two days later with Hall of Famers, Guns N’ Roses before lightening the mood when comic rock star Russell Peters returns to our stage on his Notorious World Tour.  Closing Mammoth March for the grand finale is the one and only BOSS, Bruce Springsteen together with the E-Street Band who hit the Arena for three massive nights on the Wrecking Ball Tour.

The Prince of Darkness himself, Ozzy Osbourne brings Black Sabbath down under for the first time in 40 years stopping off at Allphones Arena in April.

The sky will blacken and the ground will shudder in May as one California’s darkest and heaviest rock bands, Tool, return to Australia and take the stage at Allphones Arena.

And with many more announcements still yet to come for the rest of the year, already we have lined up International Ice-Hockey in June, the stars of WWE RAW returning in July, Australia’s favourite pop-star P!NK returning for three sell-out shows in September. October sees global pop-phenomenon One Direction set to captivate audiences and Allphones Arena favourite, André Rieu, on his And the Waltz Goes On Tour.

Allphones Arena’s General Manager, Guy Ngata, said today “We have a huge year ahead of us. The 2013 calendar is quickly filling up with a range of unique and unmissable shows, and this is only the beginning. We’ve got more announcements on the way that are sure to keep Sydney-siders very happy. Our tip? Don’t make any plans you can’t cancel this year, because you won’t want to miss anything at Allphones Arena”
