Chairman Hails Lingerie Football Launch a Massive Success


SYDNEY, Australia – Monday, 16 April, 2012: Lingerie Football League (LFL) Chairman Mitchell Mortaza today hailed the launch of LFL in Australia a massive success. “Everywhere we’ve been in the past week we have received the most incredible welcome” said Mortaza this morning before leaving Sydney for Los Angeles. “Everyone we’ve met has been fantastically positive and we have been sharing our experiences with the players, officials and supporters back in the US. I’ve been particularly impressed with the welcome from the media, standard of the venues, training facilities and team hotels and the players are really excited about competing in the All Star games in Brisbane and Sydney in June”.

The first of two LFL All Star Games takes place at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 2 June and is followed by a game at Sydney’s Allphones Arena on Saturday, 9 June. Tickets for both games are on sale now from

LFL’s Australian star Chloe Butler said she is in regular contact with many of the players in the USA and the excitement among the players is mounting, “The support here during the past week has been overwhelming. The games are going to be very physical and really competitive, I can’t wait. I’m also looking forward to showing the girls around Brisbane and Sydney when we’re not busy training and preparing for the games”.

Speaking on behalf of the local organisers, Paul Sergeant of AEG Ogden, said “The LFL have proven to be a real pleasure to work with. They are incredibly professional and hard working. The media schedule has been intense and they have hardly had a moment to draw breath for 6 days. We are delighted with everyone’s support and look forward to welcoming the LFL back in June. Ticket sales have started strongly and interest from sponsors is excellent”.

Plans for the two week tour are being fine-tuned now and more announcements about the games and other appearances will be made in the coming weeks.

Tickets to the inaugural LFL All-Star Game are on sale NOW.  Prices range from $20.00 up to $99.00 for All Star Super Tickets which will give ticket holders exclusive entry to the LFL’s own post match party where they will have the opportunity to mingle with the players themselves (transaction fees may apply).

LFL Australia is set to premiere in its inaugural season with franchise teams in Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in 2013.
